The latest threat to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking right at you: Dangerous Doe-Eyed Barbie!

The Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, as the Saudi religious police are called, have declared Barbie an offense to Islam and a threat to national security. And worst of all, she is a Jewish plot!

"Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted West. Let us beware of her dangers and be careful," says a message posted on the Committee's web site. The site features a mug shot of Barbie under the heading, "The Jewish Doll."

That's right. This is no innocent diversion. It is a Trojan Jewish horse, a deliberate strategy to bring down the Kingdom, cradle and all. The message continues:

"The enemies of Islam want to invade us with all possible means, and therefore they have circulated among us this doll, which spreads deterioration of values and moral degeneracy among our girls."

See, they did it on purpose.

"One girl said to her mother: 'Mother, I want jeans and a shirt open at the top, like Barbie's!!' The dolls of the Jewish Barbie in her naked garb, their disgraceful appearance, and their various accessories are a symbol of the dissolution of values in the West. We must fully comprehend the danger in them."

"Jewish Barbie in her naked garb"? What could be more degrading than Saudi men lusting after plastic Jewish dolls? But perhaps the religious police can take comfort in the likelihood that their site's Barbie page is likely to receive the most hits of all.

But don't kid yourself, this is subversive stuff. Take a woman out of the abaya and put her into jeans and a shirt open at the top, and the next thing you know she will want to drive a car.

And the Jews would make her do it.
