Ever concerned about the welfare of their youth, clerics in Saudi Arabia have issued a fatwa (legal decree) declaring football "un-Islamic" and have urged young people to stop playing it immediately.
Football is a waste of time and energy that contributes nothing useful to the world. Therefore these clerics are urging young people to drop it and instead "to indulge in jihad and other constructive activities."
